Nokia 3.2

HMD Global Oy, the owner of a very popular and long-running Nokia brand, has launched the next Nokia phone this year.  This is Nokia 3.2, which was first released during the Mobile World Congress in February and which is almost like Nokia 4.2.  At first glance, the Nokia 3.2 seems to be a slightly more affordable model with a larger display and battery, but is that so?  Let's find out

It comes in 3GB RAM with Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 chipset with Nokia 3.2Nokia 3.2 Internal storage is 16GB or 32GB depending on the variant.  The Nokia 3.2 screen is a 6.26-inch large IPS LCD unit with an HD resolution.  In Nokia 3.2, you get 4,000 mAh battery.  The Nokia 3.2 phone has been introduced in a single color which is black.  According to Nokia, the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant is currently priced at Rs 8,990, and the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 10,790.  Let's know how the performance of Nokia 3.2 was in our review.

Nokia 3.2 also has a curved candy bar design Like Nokia 4.2, but there is a big difference between the two models.  In Nokia 4.2, where you get a glass finish on the front and back, the Nokia 3.2 gets a glossy plastic back panel, so that only the screen can be covered with a 2.5D curved glass.  Nokia  has not discussed any Corning Gorilla Glass protection in its press release or website.  Due to the large screen, you may have difficulty holding the Nokia 3.2 phone in your hand.  According to me, if you are a one-handed user then you may have difficulty in using the Nokia 3.2 phone.

The back panel of Nokia 3.2 is made of hollow-sounding plastic, it gives class to the Nokia 3.2 phone, especially in glossy black color.  You should have no problem in using this Nokia 3.2 phone with confidence in front of your peers in college.  There will be fingerprints on the front and back panels of the Nokia 3.2.  If you hold the back panel firmly, there are chances of the panel turning.  In Nokia 3.2 you get a round edges with

On the top of the Nokia 3.2 phone's body has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a secondary microphone. On the bottom of Nokia 3.2 has a primary microphone, a loudspeaker grill, and a micro USB port.  On the right side of Nokia 3.2 are the volume rocker and power button, which also serves as charging indicator and notification in dim white.  Both buttons are smooth.  A Google Assistant key is found on the left side of the Nokia 3.2 phone, by pressing it, Google's popular digital assistant enters "ask" mode.  Power users will be disappointed to know that the button in the settings cannot be reprogrammed to launch other apps such as Instagram or Whats App.  In this way, Nokia 3.2 is built and designed quite well for its price.

NOKIA 3.2 : Display and Audio

Nokia 3.2 : Display
Nokia 3.2 : Display

Nokia 3.2 is also quite similar to the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 7.  Nokia 3.2 has a 6.26-inch a-Si TFT LCD panel, which has an aspect ratio of 19: 9 and a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels.  Its pixel density is 269 pixels per inch. Much smaller 5.71-inch LCD In comparison, the Nokia 4.2. Nokia 3.2's "Selfie Notch" does not allow some apps to fill the entire screen.

The display of the Nokia 3.2 is much dimmer than it appears, despite the maximum brightness in Nokia 3.2.  According to our test kit, the Nokia 3.2 review unit recorded a 409 LUX maximizing the brightness slider.  Sadly, we had some trouble recording the lowest brightness level in Nokia 3.2, as the Brightness slider stopped working and this was despite the Adaptive Brightness turning off in all settings.  The Nokia 3.2 colors on the display were slightly washed out and pale.  If seen, the display is not the biggest feature of Nokia 3.2, but it is also not the worst.

Talking about the Nokia 3.2 sound, the sound from the loudspeaker of Nokia 3.2 does not come very loud, but it is important to work.  Vocals are clearly heard on trending electronic songs like Starboy by the Weekend, but very little of the bass is found in Nokia 3.2.  Loudspeaker is fine for calls via speakerphone in Nokia 3.2.  On Nokia 3.2 the plus side, the earpiece is fast to take calls to noisy places.  If you call yourself an audiophile, then you can use Nokia 3.2 with earphones.

Nokia 3.2 : Performance and Gaming

Nokia 3.2 is equipped with Qualcomm Snap dragon 429 chipset which was introduced in June 2017.  In Nokia 3.2 Qualcomm's mid-tire platform includes a 12-nanometre quad-core 64-bit CPU, 2.0GHz (4 ARM Cortex-A53 high-efficiency cores).  Rendering graphics have been taken care of with the help of Qualcomm Adreno 504 GPU.  According to NokiaNokia 3.2 is available in two variants including one 2GB RAM + 16GB storage (Rs 8,990) and the other Nokia 3.2 is 3GB RAM + 32GB storage (Rs 10,790).

Nokia 3.2 scored well in the CPU benchmark test.  Its scores were similar to Nokia 4.2.  On AnTuTu 7.0, Nokia 3.2 scored 63903.  In this test, Nokia 4.2 outperformed 62985 and Redmi 7 at 104809.  In Geekbench's single-core and multi-core results, Nokia 3.2 scored 852 and 2453 respectively.  In comparison, Nokia 4.2 scored 895 and 3339 respectively.  At the same time, Redmi 7 left both phones behind by scoring 1240 and 4370 respectively.

The performance of Nokia 3.2.  There was a problem with the animation, especially while returning to the home screen, there was a lot of difficulty switching between apps and dragging down the notification bar.  The Nokia 3.2 phone often drops the frame, animating the necessary elements under a menu, which makes the Nokia 3.2 phone feel more slow, while not so slow.  Apps like Chrome and YouTube took about four seconds to launch in Nokia 3.2.  In such a situation, Nokia 3.2 can be used, but there is still more to see.  After using Nokia 3.2 for a few days, it comes to light that it is a sluggish device, especially when Nokia 3.2 comes to pushing pixels on the screen.

Nokia 3.2 On the GPU benchmark test,  scored significantly worse.  For example, on the sling shot of 3DMark, the Nokia 3.2 phone scored 415.  In comparison, Nokia 3.2 and Redmi 7 managed 821 and 916 in the same test respectively.  The real-world gameplay was a disappointing in Nokia 3.2.  Assuming our GameBench Metrics tool, Asphalt 9 ran at an average frame rate of 8 frames per second in Nokia 3.2.  The movement of players and opponents' cars in the game was jarring and tense.  On the other hand, PUBG Mobile ran at an average of 21 frames per second.  It was more playable than the popular battle royale title racing game.  Even after that it was not easy to play.  In such a situation, if you are a gaming enthusiast and are thinking of buying Nokia 3.2 for gaming, then you change your mind.  Instead, in the budget you can think of Redmi 7.

Nokia 3.2 : Software

Nokia 3.2 runs on Google's Android One program.  This means that Nokia 3.2 runs a near-stock version of Android 9 Pie and comes with the promise of regular feature and security updates for two years. Let us know that by default the Nokia 3.2 phone supports a new "pill-based" navigation system, adaptive batteries and digital well being. Foe FM radio Nokia 3.2 comes with many apps. Stock Android users will be happy to know that Nokia 3.2 does not come with any unnecessary bloatware or advertisements.

Nokia 3.2 : Camera

Nokia 3.2 : Camera
Nokia 3.2 : Camera
Where every other phone is given at least a dual camera setup on the back panel in today's time, the company has given 2 rear cameras on the back panel of Nokia 3.2. There is a 13-megapixel 1.12┬Ám sensor with a single shooter f / 2.2 aperture on the back panel of Nokia 3.2.  It comes with single LED flash. In Nokia 3.2 the front shooter is a 5-megapixel 1.12 viewm sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and 77-degree field of view.  The Nokia 3.2 phone also uses the front camera for the Face Unlock feature.

In Nokia 3.2 photos taken from the rear camera during the day are bright and colorful, but you can get distortion in the display.  No part of the subject is ever in full focus in Nokia 3.2.  Photos taken indoors are seen in slightly less light from Nokia 3.2.  The same appeared with distortion. The same condition of selfie.  Pictures taken indoors did not appear with clarity in Dim Light from Nokia 3.2.  Yes, you might get some better results by turning on the front flash ON but you cannot get rid of the noise.

In Nokia 3.2 the default camera app is not as slow as Nokia 4.2, but it is still not very special. In Nokia 3.2 the app takes time to focus on the subject, capturing the picture and in and its preview. Nokia 3.2 does not come with inbuilt portrait or Live Focus mode, but it does feature a square mode for Instagram fans.  In this way, the camera performance of Nokia 3.2 is better than Nokia 4.2 but not much or much.  In such a situation, you get a good camera setup in Nokia 3.2 but you cannot do great photography with them.

Nokia 3.2 : Conclusion

According to Nokia's website, the price of 3GB RAM variant of Nokia 3.2 is Rs 10,790.  Nokia 4.2's 3 GB RAM variant costs Rs 10,990.  In this way Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2.  There is a fine difference in price.  Nokia 4.2 is much better than Nokia 3.2, except for the screen size.  Whereas if you want a 6.26-inch screen, then of course you can take Nokia 3.2 but if you want a classy look with a budget then you can choose Nokia 4.2.  With this, if you want to go to some other brand, then Xiaomi Redmi 7 is also better for you.  Overall, Nokia 3.2 performs average in almost every case.
